Tom Haugen Vice President
Tom formally joined Haugen Consulting in 2012, but his involvement began in 1996 when he was helping his mom and Haugen Consulting’s founder, Kathy Haugen, seal TANKVOYager newsletter envelopes around the kitchen table. Now he is the account manager and primary point of contact for many of HC’s demurrage claim outsourcing clients. He has been an in-house demurrage consultant for a global trading firm, written comprehensive laytime and demurrage contract clauses that are still in use today, regularly gives HC’s demurrage training courses around the globe, assists in managing HC’s Houston office, and is a contributing writer for HC’s TANKVOYager’s demurrage articles. Tom graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Aerospace Engineering.
Blaire Hoffman VP - Marketing
Before formally joining Haugen Consulting, Blaire Hoffman had a distinguished career in Commercial Real Estate where she became the industry’s youngest Certified Property Manager in history and was recognized as one of Institute of Real Estate Management’s 30 Under 30. After spending her son's early years at home, she rejoined the workforce by transitioning into a new industry at her family-operated company. She continues to leverage her passion and expertise to make significant contributions at Haugen Consulting.
Blaire brings a wealth of experience in marketing, brand development, client relations, contract negotiation, and business development. She holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Houston and has completed various professional development courses in marketing and leadership which have equipped her with cutting-edge skills and knowledge.
Gabriella Gargya European Manager
Gabriella started our European office in Budapest in September 2019. She has over 17 years of maritime industry experience with 11 of those years as a manager of post fixture teams. Now at Haugen Consulting, she brings that extensive managerial experience to our growing team in Budapest and delivers our established brand of services to the European market. Gabriella graduated from University of Debrecen, Hungary with a MSc in International Business and Economics.
